Finance New Operatories From 5.49% APR

A-dec 500 and Midmark UltraTrim chairs, delivery, lights, and cabinetry on one note. 500+ lenders, all credit profiles.

A new operatory is a revenue column, and it should be priced like one. Outfit it right and it produces year after year; the monthly payment often lands near what a single hygiene column bills in a couple of days. A complete op is a chair, a delivery system, an operatory light, doctor and assistant stools, and usually cabinetry and an intraoral sensor. The A-dec 500 is the premium standard, built in Newberg, Oregon; the Midmark UltraTrim and Elevance lines cover the mid-tier; Pelton & Crane and DentalEZ round out the field. Expect $15,000 to $45,000 per op depending on delivery style and cabinetry. Brobas Capital Partners finances new operatories as one note so the buildout budget stays intact. We work with more than 500 lenders, so a GP adding a single chair and a group building six all get matched to terms. Rates start from 5.49% APR for qualified practices. We recently funded a Columbus GP going from four chairs to seven with three A-dec 500 ops.

What a Complete A-dec or Midmark Operatory Includes

An operatory is more than a chair. A fundable op package is the whole column:

  • Patient chair. The A-dec 500 is the premium standard, built in Newberg, Oregon, at roughly $8,000 to $12,000 for the chair alone. The Midmark UltraTrim and Elevance lines and DentalEZ cover the mid-tier; a Pelton & Crane Spirit is a common replacement target.
  • Delivery system. Over-the-patient (continental) or rear/side delivery, holding handpieces, air-water syringe, and often an ultrasonic scaler.
  • Operatory light. An A-dec LED or Pelton & Crane Helios, $1,500 to $4,000.
  • Stools. Doctor and assistant, $600 to $1,200 each.
  • Cabinetry and imaging. A-dec Inspire or Midmark Artizan cabinetry adds $8,000 to $20,000, and a DEXIS or similar intraoral sensor rounds out the room.

A full A-dec 500 op package (chair, delivery, light, stool) commonly runs $25,000 to $40,000; add cabinetry and imaging and a complete op lands between $15,000 and $45,000 depending on spec. We finance the entire column on one note so the room opens ready to produce, not half-equipped.

An Operatory Is a Revenue Column: The ROI and Section 179

Think of an op the way an accountant does: a chair is a column that produces revenue for as long as it runs. A GP restorative operatory at reasonable capacity produces in the range of $400,000 to $600,000 a year; a hygiene column commonly clears $200,000 or more. Against that, a $30,000 op financed over 60 months carries a payment near $580 a month. If the room adds even a couple of productive hours a day, the production dwarfs the payment. That is why adding chairs, not cutting costs, is usually the fastest way to grow a GP practice, and why the monthly is easy to justify.

On taxes, Section 179 lets you deduct the full purchase price of qualifying equipment the year it is placed in service instead of depreciating it over seven years. For 2026 the ceiling is well above $1 million (expanded for 2025 and later), with 100% bonus depreciation past the cap. Financed operatories qualify in full even after only a few payments. On a $92,000 three-op build, a practice in a 35% bracket sees roughly $32,200 in first-year tax savings, cutting the effective cost near $59,800. Confirm current limits with your CPA.

Financing New Ops Without Touching the Buildout Budget

Whether you are building out a new office or squeezing three more ops into an existing floorplan, the chairs are the part that pays you back, so they are the part worth financing rather than paying cash. Keep your capital for the lease, the CBCT, the practice-management software, and the hiring, and put the operatories on a note.

How we structure op financing:

  • Application-only approvals up to about $250,000 for most established practices, no full financial package.
  • All credit profiles. Strong-credit GPs see the lowest rates; challenged credit still funds at terms that fit the file.
  • New, used, or refurbished A-dec, Midmark, DentalEZ, and Pelton & Crane all qualify.
  • Terms from 24 to 72 months, with deferred and step options for a startup or an expansion still ramping.

As a broker we place your deal across more than 500 lenders, matching you to the right program instead of a single lender's box. Soft-pull pre-quotes never touch your credit. One point of contact takes you from quote to funded, usually inside 48 to 72 hours once invoices are in.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I finance a full operatory, not just the chair?

Yes. Chair, delivery system, light, stools, cabinetry, and an intraoral sensor can all go on one note. We fund the whole column so the room opens ready to produce.

Do you finance A-dec and Midmark specifically?

Yes. A-dec 500, Midmark UltraTrim and Elevance, DentalEZ, and Pelton & Crane are all fundable, new, used, or refurbished. We match the equipment to the right lender.

I am adding three ops to an existing office. Can that be one note?

Yes. Multi-op builds go on a single note regularly. A Columbus GP recently financed three A-dec 500 ops together to go from four chairs to seven.

What if my credit is not perfect?

We work with all credit profiles across 500+ lenders. Challenged credit still gets funded at terms that reflect the file. A soft-pull pre-quote shows where you stand with no hard inquiry.

How fast is funding?

Most application-only approvals come back the same day, with funding inside 48 to 72 hours once we have equipment invoices.
